pull your spark plugs and examine the electrodes , they should all have the same gap and the same signs of wear, some darkish soot is normal but there should not be too much of it, if you find one with ligth grey soot that does not look like the others, suspect lean fuel due to faulty injector to that cylinder. if you find a plug with darker, moist residue with strong gasoline smell in comparison with your other plugs , check that spark plug wire with a short checker , the kind you run along the wire to detect energy leaks(arcs) . if the wire is fine then check your ignition coils for correct resistance ratings with an Ohm meter as you could have a bad ignition coil pack. if that is ok , check the power leads to the ignition coil pack , i have experienced weak power leads in fords that come loose over time.
only if you where to find a spark plug with actual oil on it i would then suspect bad piston rings or bad valve stem seals.
if everything checks out fine, i would have car checked for correct ignition timing, many timing belts are supposed to be replaced at the 60k mile interval and if your car has not been serviced for timing belt and the engine is reved hard, the timing belt could have skipped a sprocket causing stutters and misfires.
please update your findings.
