If not you have restriction in the passages and will need to clean them out. If you had a scan tool you could make sure the DPFE readings are jiving with the flow. Also make sure the DPFE hoses are good.
Yeah the DPFE was a screwup. I did some research on it and condensation is the killer on these. Seems moisture seeping in and corrosion is what kills these. The aftermarket replacment is plastic.

Here is my old one, just drilled the rivets and cracked it open.

Anyone here ever bought a brake caliper rebuild kit? Worth it, or should I just grab a "new" caliper? Blown seal somewhere inside... all the components are old as hell so it leaks slowly.

I would not waste my time.

Nice diagnosis EZFEED, I have taken those apart too, hell I have taken countless things just to see how they are designed.

Guess I'll grab a set of newer ones. Might use the old calipers as practice for cleaning 'em up and whatnot using spinning machinery and wizardry.

If they are available 'exchange' calipers maybe worthwhile. Mindyou, they are not difficult to rebuild yourself, normally.

Why even bother, loaded set of calipers are available for most common vehicles. That is new pads and all but if you are on a budget. I would agree too if it was a part that was not available or some nice aftermarket performance calipers. My goal is to do the best job with the least amount of work.

We normally don't have that here in Australia. There are still shops that rebuild brake parts.

    Ford Taurus sucks.

05 taurus, grey, ****ty, for sale.

Here are my problems from the OBD 2 sensor:

    P0456: Evap small leak detected
    P0300: Cylinder misfire detected-random cylinders
p0174: fuel trim bank two condition- ECM has detected a rich or lean air/fuel ratio condition on engine bank two
p0171: Fuel trim bank on conidtion- rich or lean condition
p2196: H02S-11 switch sensor indicates rich
P2198: H02S-21 switch sensor indicates rich

So, do any of you highly intelligent people know what this mumbo jumbo means?
Autozone guy thought it could be a fuel injector, if so how much would that probably cost?

Is it your car or one you are considering buying? It may only need a couple of O2 sensors and a set of plug leads. Shouldn't cost too much, maybe $250 if you fit the parts yourself.

I'd fit the parts, have the codes erased (disconnecting the battery maybe enough!) and see how it goes. What is the mileage?

At 95k (miles) the o2 sensor(s) are probably stuffed... and the plug leads are most likely worn out too. Change the spark plugs, leads, fuel filter, air filter, oil + filter and fit new o2 sensors and you'll probably be good.
