Is it the actual glass broken? If it was the plastic housing you may be able to get it plastic welded.

Take it to a local shop with nice vehicles in the lot and clean facilities. Avoid the the dealer.

    Hey - awesome thread.
Now my take on it..my mom bought a 'new' Hyundai Accent 99[5 doors] with only 80km on it from a woman she knows at work, I took the liberty to liberate the car from my mom because she does not use it and I noticed a few things that I'm not sure if they are a problem or not.

1)when the car is cold, acceleration isn't smooth..you can suddenly feel the acceleration stop for a second or so...fuel isn't getting to the engine resulting in feeling a "kick" back and forward when it comes back on.

2)High speed cruising [100-120km/h] you can feel the power of the engine going in waves

3)overdrive[its automatic] doesn't seem to engage?the car is 3 gears and overdrive but even at 120km/h it seems to be on 3th gear.

4)Its time to do timing on the engine[+400$], does it really matter if its from Hyundai licensed garage or some pirate garage to save cash?

Don't cane it when it's cold.

The usual... spark plug, aircleaner, oil&filter, etc.
3)overdrive[its automatic] doesn't seem to engage?the car is 3 gears and overdrive but even at 120km/h it seems to be on 3th gear.
Is overdrive engaged? It could have a button on the shifter.

Anyone should be able to to a Hyundai timing belt.

Yeah overdrive is engaged[button on shift], I even turned it off and you get a little light on the dash "O/D OFF" but when I disconnect at 90km/h it remains in the same gear...

Get the transmission serviced by a transmission SPECIALIST and tell them the problem. It could be a very simple fault.

When I was in Paris I saw thousands of three wheel scooters. They were mostly two wheels in the front, and one in the back. But some were the opposite. Does anyone know who makes those scooters or mopeds? Does anyone make something similar in the US?

Car won't start. Replaced the starter when I got it. I think some of the wiring for the ignition on the steering shaft went on a vacation. Battery is fine, everything is fine.

Should be easy enough........ Check for power on crank out of the ignition switch on start. If the car has a starter relay that could be crook. Also check if the starter is OK - apply 12V to the solenoid - it should crank. Other than that, check wiring (and battery terminals!).

    Keep us posted.

BRP(Canadian) makes the Spyder but thats more of a motorcycle with two front wheels. And also the Campagna T-Rex which is also Canadian which is..i'm not sure what it is but it has the similar 2 wheels up front one in back. Don't think there are any scooters like that though

Confused. I can't think at the moment.

Tried the other day. The little thingy that keeps the rotating light switch on doesn't exist anymore, so it's very easy to accidentally turn the headlights on. Came out hours later to go to school, and noticed my headlights were on, veerrrrrry dim... goddammit.

Where do I look? WHat am I doing? I need someone here with me. Fccccccccccccccking life lately.

Box up the car, come up to my joint with it for a couple of days. We'll fix it.
