Audi dealership is telling me that it will cost $5,000 to fix the air suspension on our 2004 Allroad. Someone told me about this kit to convert to a coil system:

I lose the air suspension, but it's cheaper and more reliable. Any opinion/advice on whether this is advisable or not? I can't afford $5K and to be honest I doubt it's even worth spending that much money on it.
Looks pretty good, but I'd expect the ride quality would go down noticeably. That link also shows airspring parts too, can you fix it 'properly' with new airspring parts?
I didn't see any other parts to fix the problem besides the coil spring. I will look into it though.
Ride will definitely get worse but cost is my main thing right now.
Thanks for responding.
If you've got stuffed dampers then replacing the whole thing with a coilspring/damper combo will be a pretty neat fix.
Hi guys, Ive got an Indicator (flasher,blinker..whatever you want to call it). It seems to flash intermittently, sometimes not at all, it's also out of time with the other indicator when I put the hazards on. Now Ive checked the bulb & any loose connections inside the light unit.. they all seem to be fine. What do you think it could be? Relay maybe?
Thanks![]()
Depends on your car. Old cars are pretty logical and easy to figure out. Modern cars are not as easy unless you have experience with the make/model.
I had an electrical problem with my car. The rear camera would switch on when I used the break pedal and the display sometimes looked like scrambled ****. It was due to dodgy wires, or so the guy said.
The ex-mother-in-law asked me (and I was of no help at all) about getting the cam-belt replaced on her 2000 Toyota Corolla. It's only done 74,000 km, because she only uses it once a week or so to go to the supermarket, but it is 10 years old. Should she get it done or leave it until the 100,000km that the service book says?
Time as well as kilometres kill timing belts. It wouldn't hurt to change it now, it's not expensive compared to the alternative should the belt fail.
Will my engine explode soon?
Using Mobil 1 synthetic.
Mobil 1 synthetic should be good to 15k, thats what I have in my truck. But i dont plan on going past 10k
