    Op de vliegbasis Soesterberg vinden donderdag 8 en vrijdag 9 november de Vlieger-infodagen van de Koninklijke Luchtmacht plaats. Het doel daarvan is jongeren tussen de 17 en 25 jaar, met minimaal een HAVO-diploma, te interesseren voor het beroep van militair vlieger.


    Het stoffelijk overschot van korporaal der eerste klasse Ronald Groen is vanochtend om 10.00 uur aangekomen op de vliegbasis Eindhoven. Acht landmachtmilitairen droegen de kist uit een C-130 Hercules, waarna het lichaam werd overgedragen aan de nabestaanden.

    This is the first of new Block 52 F-16 Fighting Falcons that are being provided to the U. S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team. Officials at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, rolled out the upgraded fighter during a ceremony Oct. 24. The 11 aircraft destined for the Thunderbirds are scheduled to receive Falcon STAR modifications and a smoke generating system modification. The newly converted aircraft are slated for delivery for the 2009 show season.
