An A-10C Thunderbolt jet taxi's in on the flightline after a mission on Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, awaiting its next flight. The A-10C's are assigned to the 104th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, which is made up primarily of the 175th Maryland Air National Guard. They are the first unit to use the C-model A-10 in a combat zone. Its upgrades have made air power much more efficient and have streamlined the close air support mission.

The Category II Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle began fielding to Soldiers nearly a month ago. Soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), trained on the vehicles Nov. 5-9 at Camp Liberty in western Baghdad, and will receive them upon completion of the training.
