It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors.

Going back to the thread theme: I saw some photos some months ago of Prince Charles visiting the troops in A'stan - his CP team were also all armed with HK53s.
i'd say it's a weapon of choice as far as British VIP CP goes, with an occassional but not as common M4(commando?) ...

    Nice pics mate.

i would that the M4 is a very nice weapon, having fired it and had some use of it, when in iraq the cpat boys from dyncorp carried them and we got to havbe a play and they where very nice weapons.

i actually prefer the HK 53 as it is a very reliabe weapon havent ever had a stoppage etc, they well out rank the SA80 a2 and would take one anywhere.

my pic editing isnt that good but thanksd will have another go

Got 'em in high-res? Can't really see the weapons very well.

Now that you mention it, I took a closer look at the photos. that does look suspiciously like an MP5 front end....

Yup, 'The Shooting Gallery' by Gaz Hunter - on page 247 - I'm sitting with it in my hand but don't have a scanner, and my digital camera keeps on blurring the image.

Yes - its obvious now that I can see the mag well too. Still, until Classic Army or somebody produces an off-the-shelf one, this one looks pretty damn good.

Real HK53s with a Surefire 628/629 forend would have that gap as Surefire never made a forend for the '53, they were designed for the MP5 but work just as well on the '53.

Granted it looks good - but it's still an airsoft toy which militarycop has tried to pass of as the real deal.
