20th April 2012. The aircraft carrier SPS "Príncipe de Asturias" continued his naval activity during the second quarter of this year with the completion of a series of exercises planned by Armada in the Gulf of Cadiz.
Among the scheduled exercises held the qualification of pilots of different aircraft squadrons of "Príncipe de Asturias", exercises and missile air defense, air support to forces deployed ashore, battle stations, search and rescue of shipwrecked , failure of government and precision navigation.

The combat supply ship SPS 'Patiño' is at Ferrol Arsenal after completing his participation in Operation Atalanta to combat piracy. The 215 crew on board had spent five months away from its base.

Artillery regiments of the Spanish Army celebrated yesterday the "Dos de Mayo". The first Army unit that supported the popular uprising against the French occupiers in Madrid on May 2, 1808, was artillery battery of Monleón Barracks, under the command of Captain Daoíz. Since then spanish artillery forces provide military honors at Aniversary in various towns of Spain.

An SH-3D helicopter of 5th Air Squadron of the Armada , the "Morsa-08", has made the 1,000th take in the flight deck of the SPS 'Juan Carlos I'. The pilots used night vision goggles, following the sampling procedure laid down in the ship's flight operations.
