I was under the impression that the cut would be wider, more akin to the US Army type. But judging by this picture, we insist on the uncomfortable tight cut. We will never learn.

Just a wild guess but she´s probably a doctor and thus part of a common Corp for the three branches in the Armed Forces. Not exactly an operator although carrying a minigun.
