The construction of the submarine S-80 continues in the shipyards of Cartagena de Levante. First delivery (S-81 Isaac Peral) is scheduled for March 2015.

"Death is not the end" would be a more appropriate translation.

    Kind regards,

    It is worth remembering something.
He has been granted the Laureate Cross of San Fernando to the regiment Alcantara 14, for his heroic conduct in the "Annual Disaster" to recognize the "heroic" events occurring between July 22 and August 9, 1921.

Honor and glory to the heroes of the Regiment Alcantara.

For those who don't know the story behind this "minor" colonial war, the regiment suffered 80% casualties, including its commander, as it tried to cover the retreat of the rest of the Spanish force as it pretty much disintegrated and fell back towards somewhat defensible higher ground.

And, of course, various Spanish lefties are *****ing about the new conservative government recognizing the valor of a unit that had the effrontery of having fought in this unpopular war of colonial aggression.

    Absolutely true Frank.

These are the words, that Lieutenant Colonel Fernando Primo de Rivera y Orbaneja, commander of the Regiment, spoke to his men before the battle.

"The situation, as you can see, is critical. It is time to sacrifice for the Fatherland fulfilling the sacred mission of the Army. Let each take his place and do his duty"
