Indian army patrol in the streets during a protest in Calcutta, India on 21 November 2007. Violent clashes broke out between rioting Muslim protestors and the police bringing the commercial districts of the city to a standstill. The Army was called in to assist the police as the protestors set up road blockades and hurled bricks, stones and bottles at the police. A group known as the All India Minority Forum (AIMF), an umbrella organisation of several small Islamic organizations, had called for a three-hour roadblock to protest the state government's handling of the situation in Nandigram, a cluster of villages about 140 kilometres south of Kolkata, and the granting of an Indian visa to Bangladeshi author, feminist and human rights activist Taslima Nasreen

NATO's military officials and Afghan elders attend a meeting on security situation in troubled Kandahar, Afghanistan, 21 November 2007. UN high commissioner for Human Rights, Louise Arbour has said that the mounting civilian death toll from NATO and coalition operations breach international law and called on the alliance countries to provide compensation for the victims. NATO officials have repeatedly blamed the Taliban militants for attacking the troops from the residential areas and using civilians as human shields

The cleavage of a supporter of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez sports the word 'yes' during a rally at Venezuela Square, Caracas, Venezuela on 21 Novembers 2007. Demonstrators expressed their support for the constitutional reforms proposed by Chavez as international media and human rights organisations said they were concerned about these plans, claiming they could threaten freedom of expression

AL ASAD AIR BASE, Iraq, -- The Marines of Regimental Combat Team 2’s Aero Scout team stand near one of the helicopters they use regularly for a group photo. Aero Scout, technically a large squad of the provisional rifle platoon, is a mix of military occupational specialties ranging from infantry to administration. The team uses helicopters to quickly search areas of interest, and scout out possible targets.

"Pardoning" a turkey so it won't be eaten, but instead will go to Disney World to serve as the Grand Marshall of the Disney World Thanksgiving Day Parade then live out the rest of its life peacefully on a farm is "redneck"? That turkey had its own motorcade with police escorts!

    Thanks for the pics, everyone!

I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving has a good one!
