    weird list and all from a "perfect" democracy viewpoint. so of course some countries fail heavily in an ideological sense if you are comparing apples to oranges.

    Ireland is listed as its own country? i thought it was part of the UK?

    edit, i guess the Republic of Ireland is its own country.

    Care to explain your stand?

    The political activity in grassroot level is excellent and there is great transparency in the government. Freedom of press is statistically second only to Finland. There is no data to deny this.

    Sweden belongs up there altough I would probably put Netherlands into number 1. Finland could be up there with them if young people were a bit more active like they were in the 70's and 80's.

    If you can be dragged by the state in front of the courts and then sentenced for jail because you said "gay *** is sin" then its not a democracy even by far fetch...

    seems like who make the rules --> win

    anyway, I would like to live in any of this countries without a problem

    Finnish is not a Germanic language.
