740 hp - 0-200 kph = 8.5 sec ... quite an improvement over the 599. Impressive.. I wonder how fast the Enzo replacement will be?

And idk about Australia but around here OLD bmw parts aren't really all that bad price wise just hard to find
Thanks mate, will look on Bimmerfest aswell then. From the reviews say on the net, people love the m30 engine.

Slowly putting together a list of parts to replace. would love to lower the sh*t out of it but got to get it running nice first.
Found some Rusty Slammington BMW insipration on the net.... Love the look but no way id do that to a car.

Long story short i got a very very cheap 535i.
Its very dirty outside but is still very straight and has next to no rust.
Interior isnt too bad, just the usual wear and tear of 320,000km. Sunroof still works

Another plus was with a jump start and 15mins trying to figure out the imobiliser it started and ran beautifly. It is leaking around the diff and engine/gbox but until we get it up on a hoist we dont know how bad it is

Is the bimmerforums.com the best bet to get info off?
I take it that BMW parts cost an arm and a leg? Although it dosent look too crowed in the engine bay..

European Car Club of Australia , been on that for a fair while.
Parts for the E28's (I assume that's what you have) are not too bad.
I think Pelican parts and BMA from the USA are the chosen ones.
The old M30 3.5litre runs a for a long time and isn't too hard to rebuild either.
Exchange motors are relatively easy to get.

    On other news....

    Meep Meep!!!!
Say hello to the HPP Superbird

Me too, it will be 800hp +120hp KERS, it will probably set a new milestone in hypercars, untill the new McLaren comes out which will have the same amount of HP.

Damn that Lambo sure is sweet, 1 built, already sold for 2.2€

Thank Dog Italians are still in the business of Football and Car manufacturing otherwise it would be Geumeny all ofa ze place.

Too bad this car will be butchered to the point that only small glimpses of the concept will be recognizable.

Before you lot tell me anything I know it's a neo-retro.

The Scirocco has a major problem. It seems to be impossible to find some good looking/suiting rims for it. The most fitting ones I saw so far were the original GTI ones.

Don't tell me about it. I'm looking for a set of winter wheels (bit early/late, I know) and just can't decide which to choose.

But as far as stock rims go, the Interlago's are hard to beat imo. Currently have a set of those on mine and very happy with them. Easy to clean, looks classy.

If you need factory wiring diagrams (albeit for the LHD models, but near enough) send me a PM.

Default Bentley previews luxury performance SUV with EXP 9 F concept

There once was a time, not so long ago, that if you wanted a luxury SUV, your options basically came down to a Range Rover. The Bentley of off-road vehicles, they called it. But those days are behind us, as nearly every luxury automaker is making a sport-ute of its own. And soon, so will Bentley.

Called the EXP 9 F, the vehicle you see here is a concept, er, truck, that Bentley will unveil at the Geneva Motor Show this week. Although still a design study, strictly speaking, the EXP 9 F previews what could emerge as a third model line for Crewe to roll alongside the Continental and Mulsanne. Power comes from the same 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 as found in the Continental, but in a drastically different form, and V8 and hybrid propulsion are also being considered for production.

Charting new territory for the Flying B marque, the EXP 9 F aims to apply traditional Bentley styling cues to an SUV shape, from the oversized air intakes to the split rear tailgate. And based on these images... well, let's just say we're not convinced yet. The interior space, however, looks as pleasant a place to be as any vehicle ever to roll out of Crewe. And if that blend of questionable shape and beautiful cabin sounds familiar, look straight to the Porsche Cayenne, a vehicle ushered into reality – a first for its brand as well – by the same Wolfgang Dürheimer who now heads Bentley.

We'll reserve final judgement for when we see it tomorrow in person in Geneva, where Bentley says it will be evaluating public reaction with an eye towards potential production. In the meantime you can check out the images in the gallery above and the press release below for a closer look.
