I agree. Go with the 420.

Please tell me it isn't a genuine XYGT. IIRC the genuine model had a smaller back window and a deeper/wider C pillar on the rear quarter panel. Either way it would break your heart but thats racing for you.

    1983 635csi 5SPD Euro spec

    vs

    1973 2002Tii

I am leaning more towards the former rather than the latter. The 635csi has a beautiful colour, nice wheels the whole nine yards, but has 77k miles on it. The 2002 has ugly paint colour, ugly, very unoriginal wheels, but the owner claims to have lots of money invested in restoration (I have not seen either in person, but will eventually get to do so).

Which one would you prefer and why?

I like the 3.0 cs' the most but they are sadly too far out of my price range.

77k miles? Big whoopee-blardy-doo-dar. 770k miles, maybe bad but.

I wouldn't have thought that too many people are racing originals.

Even if that's not an original, a real shame.

I saw a gorgeous XP coupe tonight. It's got a BA I6 motor/box, better suspension/steering, etc. If I get a chance (and permission) I might get some pictures.

My wife used to work for a company and the boss raced WRX's in the national league. They used to have race days where he would bring in half a dozen different race spec cars and everyone would drive them. A friend of the boss used to bring his ferraris etc down and let them drive them. Its funny what people with too much coin do. That guy, is now broke, and infamous.

Their work cars were all new WRX (this was in the late 90's) or alfa spiders. Pretty crusy workplace. But bosses like that get rich from riding their workers.....

It's not even registered yet. He reckons he's spent 20k+ on the suspension/driveline alone.
