Can't argue with that, although the last time I had to endure a drive in one was a good 15 years ago, not counting the POS FM12 8 wheeled Volvo bomb truck I drive every day.

I would love an old, grandpa special 145 or 245 wagon - in standard looking trim. I'd dump the 4-banger and put in a 1uz or something.... nice & quiet, sleeper special. Then I would go hunting Commodores & WRX's with it.
I remember seeing one of those in Street Machine about 8 or 9 years ago, it was a Volvo sedan, maybe a 240 or something similar. There was no give away until you opened the bonnet. I don't recall what he had in there, but I remember them claiming it was more than capable of eating any of the Tickrod or HSV vehicles of the time.
Ovlov's are pretty decent cars - a bit of a 'Swedish Falcon'. Well built, big brakes, strong body, etc. makes them a pretty good platform for modifications. There are lots around, too - which means spares are easy enough and cheap to get. Unlike BMW, Mercedes, Audi, (etc.) which are terrible when it comes to fixing them.
Who would tell their mates they got wasted by a Volvo at the lights? I think many of the knuckle dragging brigade (ie Commodore drivers) would take their POS into the forestry and burn it if they were beaten by a Volvo.

Look, they've redesigned the urinals at the German Autobahn stations to make them fit Macs' needs.
