    Link to a info-sheet from MB. It's called G-Wagon 280 CDI "LAPV" (Light Armored Patrol Vehicle), and participates in the Bundeswehr-contest for the "GFF class 1" vehicles, were it will be named "Enok" if it wins and be purchased.

    "Uparmored" G-wagen in Hungary, C+D 2007 exhibit.





    It's say the vehicle are STANAG level 2 capable (this means can stop 7.62x39 API from 30m, any direction, and the personels inside can survive a 6kg mine blast). Look the "mine protection", it's a 2 mm thick rusty steel plate (no anti-rust coating, or whatsoever) under the vehicle...
