Perhaps, but during the early 80s, IDF was the primary supplier of the Lebanese defense forces.

This pic was taken in 1989. The location of the pic is north of the Debaye Tunnel about 25 KLm north of Beirut/South of Jounieh. That has to be IDF fatigue.

You have to ask Ariel Sharon that question - where is he by the way?

There are alot of info on the web about them. But primarily, they needed weaponry to fight the PLO. IDF supplied them what they needed and the deal was to install a pro Israel government during the invasion towards Beirut. Hence Bacheer was put to power.

Many Lebanese phalangists were sent to Israel to train, including I would imagine Elie Hobieka whose now dead.

Most of their Israeli supplied weaponry were light to medium. The half tracks and the border patrol vehicles were very common sites. Helmets, UZIs and flacks were their norm. Sometimes we mistook them for actual IDF soldiers.

Although, heavy weaponry such as T55/54, M113 and M48 were common that anyone could have been supplying these. China, Iraq, U.S.?

Makes sense. Thanks for the info, BPEL.
    Sharon still is in coma:
Sharon has undergone a series of subsequent surgeries related to his comatose state. He has remained in a long-term care facility since November 6, 2006.[23] Medical experts indicate that his cognitive abilities were likely to have been destroyed by the massive stroke. He is in a persistent vegetative state with extremely low chances of recovery.

The Brits (who made the conversion) called this variant the Staghound MkIII.
The 83,4 mm gun of the Charioteer, is-it an anti-tank gun ?

The Palestinian Liberation Army (PLA) have 60 T-34/85 in 1981-1982. One of the PLA brigade also had a small number of T-54, but there is'nt any pictures.
