    I have never seen any one of them with a mortar inside of it, and i have never seen the army using mortars on board of vehicles, so basically yes, you are correct.

    I even think that they came this way, without mortars inside of them.

    M-106 received from the Americans in 1997-1998 did not comprise mortars. So they were transformed in the M-113 ambulance or M-113 ZU-23.

    the lebanese army received 20 m-125a2 in 1982

    yes they exist as transport and yes they where used extensivly
    in the mountain war as 81 mm mor

    You are talking about the 80's. We always refer to the army as the army after 1990 because there was an overhauling for it, especially by receiving new equipment, new structure etc...

    If these remained, wouldn't they have remained with the mortars inside of them, and thus still should be used as what they were meant to be?

    from the numbers(51xxxx) on those m-125 i can say that at least some still exist from that period, why they are not used in there original form ?
    you know it takes 10 min to install the mor inside if the need exist
    the army now is only used as a police force
