    Default Patch Question

    I was wondering why the US flag is sometimes reversed on some gear
    ( right arm ) . I first saw this in Black Hawk Down , so I thought it was a movie thing . But ive seen it on troops in A-stan and Iraq . So , howcome ?

    these colours dont run
    if it was the other way around it would give off an impression of retreat
    note that for combat shoulder patches worn on the right arm should do the same

    That, and I was told that we wear the backwards flag on our right shoulder so that it looks like the flag is flying, as opposed to it being installed on the pole backwards.

    Oh wait, I just said what he said. Damn, I'm slow.
