Patch Question

I was wondering why the US flag is sometimes reversed on some gear
( right arm ) . I first saw this in Black Hawk Down , so I thought it was a movie thing . But ive seen it on troops in A-stan and Iraq . So , howcome ?

That, and I was told that we wear the backwards flag on our right shoulder so that it looks like the flag is flying, as opposed to it being installed on the pole backwards.
