    even if the Czech vz borrows some visual characteristics of the AK, this rifle is not considered as being a part of the family of ak, it is thus a completely different weapon.

    Yeap, it seems to be standard practice in the Hellenic Armed Forces as well.

    Interesting.. this is the first time that I see Ak's used by Greek forces.. But I know that in the Turkish forces, this weapon is widely more spread, especially by the police it seems.

    Greek Special Forces to be precise. I have read that appart from the Air Foce 31st MEE, our Navy UDTs and Army Special Parachutists train on them too.

    Yes, but it's still cool and a lot like a Kalashnikov. I posted it because it's also a popular rifle among American AK enthusiasts.

    Even though the mechanism is quite different from the AK, American gun collectors consider it "AK inspired", and so I think it belongs in this thread.

    Thats a mountain hunter.
    BTW the wooden handgrip is caracteristical for Romanian build AKM's or PM Mod. 68 or like in that picture AIMS-74 (PM Mod.86)
