Israeli designed weapons have sold very well with Latin American countries.

    Nice choice Guatemala

So far Colombia and Guatemala have this rifle. Our southern neighbors have good taste.

Seems to be very nice looking and they are handling a bullpup just fine which they weren't using before?

It was annoying, every time it showed a chick getting ready to fire the video moved on. Wanted to see how well they handled it.

Very nice looking weapon they have there!

    Just a few queries though:

a)Are they emptying a magazine as quick as possible to show the lack of recoil/Rate of fire - or is that a serious shooting style they use? [1:35]

b)The same goes for the dude firing it from the hip while walking. [1:29] - Would they do that in a real life situation, or is that just a demonstration of the lack of recoil?

c)Did that woman *triple-cock* it? [0:58] Maybe I was seeing things, but it looked like she cocked it 3 times before trying to lock the working parts to the rear, as she then tilts the weapon and looks down at it. [Checking inside?]

The only reason I ask (a) and (b) is because I'm pretty ignorant about Guatemala and was wondering what there policing style is. They look pretty professional and have the kit to back it up by the look of this video. But - I can't see very many Police/Military departments firing off full magazines on full-auto in a matter of seconds, Nor can I see them firing from the hip while walking down the street!

As for (c) - I'm just curious about the handling drills really.

Pretty sure it's just a clearing drill. Making sure theres no round in the chamber. I could be wrong. Someone with more Exp could say for sure.

Little guns for little people... I used to chuckle seeing all the 5'04" hauling FN FAL's around like cannons

The old SLR drill was to cock 3 times too when clearing.

Ah, That makes sense actually! Seeing as there is no magazine in the weapon at the time.

    Cheers guys!

Don't know if that was SOP in Guatamala, but that's how I learned in the IDF on the Galil and M-16. The Uzi was different, just once and hold it, then check.

Really? We did a double-cocking. I suspect that this drill came along with the rifle manual and she did the third cocking rather by mistake or just in case...

P.S. I'm only sorry they getting the weapon with the Meprolight sight. It got some negative from the guys using it in the field: the sight is using at day the ambient light for the red dot, and apparently in the sunny weather it is not bright enough. There are much better Israeli sights wich come with Tavor, e.g. ITL Mars.

I'm no expert on the uzi, since I've never fired one. But I suspect that you cock and hold once on an uzi, because it you let the bolt fly forward and there was a round in the magazine, it would go boom. Hence any subsequent cocking would be unnecessary as you would know the weapon was NOT cleared!!
