South Korea just signed contract to build naval base at Jeju.
The base can hold as big as 150,000t vessel.
BEXCO, of course (my typo)
Center located about 5-km inland from beach hotel area and famous bridge in Busan, across street from Trump Center buildings.
Two years ago - and this year's events - will include three separate aspects, including the military and shipbuilding manufacturers exhibitors. Several hundred two years ago, so much so that there were overflow tents outside.
Massive commercial shipbuilding related; defense exhibitors are rather small portion of the total interior hall area. Included WIA, several small craft builders, several footwear and clothing makers, all ROK shipbuilders (HHI, Daewoo, etc), and several Asian military publications (from Taiwan, Malaysia, and Japan), plus one German publisher (Naval Forces).
Last years events were only the military exhibitors, to coincide with the International Fleet Review (IFR) in Busan, and the Presidents review - some of the images posted earlier on this site. Only reason it was held was because of the IFR - otherwise, would have skipped a year to this years every-two-years plan.
Can include images if anyone wants - its just on my other computer and no longer on camera.

Why would SK need more advanced fighters? NK airforce is almost certainly tasked with one way suicide missions as they know they won't last 24 hours. SK needs more ground slammers. Planes that will be able to surpress the 13000 artillery tubes that NK has.
