Yes, that got me interested too.

Btw is this the same South Korean inventor who test his own self-made body armour by shooting himself at point-blank range while in his own product? I think i saw his face on some clip before.

So the official statement of the government is that K2's powerpack problems were satisfactorily solved by mid-October, and K2 will be in formal production before the end of this year... The tank will cost about $5~6 million each if we don't consider the R&D cost (about $200 million).

The faster our economy grows, the less sumptuous our soldiers' daily meals get, and vice versa. They'll be wishing they had the global financial crisis back.

As far as I know, none so far. When the K2 technology export deal was concluded the engine has not yet finished development.

Looking through this thread i taught the Koreans really need a decent 7.62mm mg to replace the m60.Looking at the ROK Army equipment list on wikipedia i found out that
    one has been made.

It is in service widley yet? Also does the ROK Army use 7.62mm mgs much in the infantry role?

Not yet mass produced. ROK used M60 before SAW kicked in.

The government approved the construction of the Second Lotte World in Seoul despite ROKAF's protest that it can cause obvious problems with aircraft taking off from and landing on nearby airfields. The building's going to have 123 floors, 555m tall, and it will be the tallest skyscraper in Asia and the second tallest skyscraper in the world after Burj Khalifa when it finishes construction. I don't know if I should be sad or glad.
