The first two of Navy’s newest maritime combat helicopter - the MH60R Seahawk ‘Romeo’ - have arrived at HMAS Albatross in Nowra, where they will begin trials prior to deployment on Anzac class frigates and the new Hobart class destroyers.

The MH60R is a quantum leap over Navy’s current front-line helicopter and this next generation submarine hunter and anti-surface warfare helicopter will be the cornerstone of Navy’s aviation combat capability.

A Navy MH60R 'Romeo' Seahawk helicopter flies in company with a S-70-B2 'Bravo' Seahawk helicopter over Fleet Base East. HMAS Success and the Navy's newest ship, NUSHIP Canberra, can be seen in the background.
