Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
People at the repair shop are flashing my BIOS for my MSI mobo (why didn't I think of this?!). I've already ordered the new parts and plan on taking them over there next week.
Is it wrong that I feel like an asshole if I'm going to bring them parts to replace for a working computer?
Me: Hi, I know you just fixed my computer but here's a new mobo, PSU, and case that you can replace.
my phone is not working, when I call or recieve a call from someone I cannot hear them and vice versa, it'll auto turn on when I turn it off and it wont play music, it's a toshiba slide phone from verizon
My TV fell and has a small crack in the screen and it's leaking this weird oil like stuff. It works sporadically now. Half the time it'll play but the lower third of the screen is dim and other times the bottom is just a bright green band.
there's nothing left but mp.net
New flash works fine here.

alright broski's I gots two questions.
First off. For those of you in Cali, what ISP is good? Currently with AT&T but want to switch out to something else. Seems they don't offer the "faster" intrawebz like they used to, only the crappy basic. Want something high speed, since I don't like waiting for effin' buffering every 5 sec watching youtube, etc.
Secondly. You guys got me interested. I've heard of other guys talking about computer builds and I want to build one up. So how do I go about it? Which parts do I need to search out, like the fans, cpu, processor, motherboard, etc. Any place that explains such things to a newb such as myself? I've got a computer here that won't turn on but I think most components are good and I've been wanting to make it better (new case, better graphics card etc.)
Shop NewEgg.com for great prices. They have everything you need to build a computer.
What you need is:
1. CPU
2. Motherboard
3. Heat sink
4. Power supply (PSU)
5. video card
6. Hard drive
7. Disc drive
8. RAM
9. A case
For a basic build, start with a motherboard. Following that, you need a CPU that fits the board and you need a case and PSU that supports it. From there, you can build around those components.
If you want this for gaming, graphics design, or a good movie theater, I suggest starting off with an Intel X58 chipset. Intel i7s are beefy but expensive. You need a X58 motherboard that fits the 1366 socket. These motherboards are 99% ATX so you need a PSU and case that are ATX compatible. You can choose what ever video card brand you more loyal to provided your mobo supports it. You can also buy an audio card if you want surround sound, but a good motherboard can support 5.1 to 7.1. If you buy a NVIDIA GTX 500 series video card, it has a built in HDMI port on it and that can be used for surround sound too.
If need any questions I'll be happy to help you.

Thanks. I looked up a few vids and saw a setup I liked, it consists of:
Corsair 4096MB PC10600 DDR3 1333MHz
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Corsair Hydro H50 CPU Liquid Cooler
Diablotek RPM Series 950W ATX PSU (comments say this is a bit overkill for this setup)
XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB PCIe DDR5 XXX
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition AM3 (really open to any suggestion here, would like something good performance)
WD Caviar Green 1.5TB 64MB/SATA-3G (not sure about this, 1.5 TB seems mind boggling when I'm used to 40GB)
ASUS M4A89GTD PRO AMD 890GX
Cooler Master HAF 932 Full Tower Black Case
How good is this set up? I'm also be interested in a sound card, got my room wired for sound and have a huge collection of music of various genre.
Basically I want to build a good multimedia rig. Gonna do a bit of gaming, music, video and web browsing. Key point being gaming. Want to be able to play and not have it laggy and enjoy it with maxed game settings.
Won't be doing this too soon. I'll probably be acquiring parts over the course of the rest of the year or all in one go if my year end bonus is nice and big.
Step away from your computer and read a book, YouTube is polluting the minds of the young !!!!!
