^^ Did this ever work or is this a new setup? Is there a receiver in the middle?
Did you double check the PS3 to make sure the output is 720p/60? How long is the HDMI cable run?
Does this do this with other games? Also, check you are not running Killzone 3 in 3d mode (which is 720p) as well but where you need a 3d TV.

I was running it for a week before and it was fine. No reciever in the middle. I went to the display setting and checked 480p, 720p, 1080p and 1080i and the PS3 stated "this is 1080p. If you can read this, you'r television supports it." It's a six foot long GE HDMI cable.

Quite honestly, I have no clue. About the only thing I would try is get a better shielded cable and/or move your other cables and electrical wires away or move them around while the image is on the screen and see if that helps.

    Hi geeks

    I need some help.....

Do the UK geeks have any experience with NOVATECH power supply units for home build PCs??
    http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...ov-psb750.html

I've been told the PSU's are one of the most important parts so you should'nt compromise on a decent one.

This is gonna be my first PC build, and i will probably be asking lots of advice from you guys in the near future

any help you could provide would be greatly accepted!

Kind of geek support but I may ebay my MSI Eclipse mobo, 2 GTX 280s, and 1000 watt PSU. What would be a fair asking price for each of those?

    Alright fellas.

Any real big difference between the
    HAF 932
    http://www.frys.com/product/5707262?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG

    and

    HAF 912
    http://www.frys.com/product/6348461?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG

Seems that the 932 is just a bit bigger with a few more fancy do's and fans. I'm leaning more towards the 912 because of cost. I'll probably be going down to a Fry's later today.

Also thinking of going for this DDR3 RAM (any difference between PC xxx & PC3 xxx?):
    http://www.frys.com/product/6559543?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG

and will be getting the M4A89 GTD pro MOBO and thinking about getting this PSU:

I bought a HAF 912 last week for my future first build!... its big for a mid tower case
its well worth the reasonable price... soild too!

note the harddrive cage in the HAF 912 is removable so can support HUGE graphics cards if thats your thing.

also use a quality power supply, Corsair, Cooler master. etc etc

I would actually highly suggest the HAF 922 (http://www.frys.com/product/5927304?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG). Same size as the 912 but with the screwless drive mounts. Built many rigs with this and would do so again.

Many differences between RAM types - know what your mobo supports. DDR, DDR2, DDR3 are not the same. Yours should use DDR3.

Never heard of that PSU - but highly recommend this one, the Corsair 650W. (http://www.frys.com/product/6708355?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG)

I bought the HAF 912 PLUS it had screwless mounts.... just sayin.

but agree with the corsair power supply choice

Thanks for the suggestions. Seeing as I don't have enough yet for the OS and Processor, I guess I can go for that HAF 922m. Yeah, I saw it supported DDR3, that samsung ddr3 should work? I'm using lower priced stuff as "starters" to get this build done and will add in higher end stuff later in the year.

2 gigs of ram is not a whole lot, especially if you're going to be using a 64 bit OS. DDR3 is the defacto standard for desktop systems, comes in dual, triple and even quad channel paired DIMMS. A base 4 gig set of say Kingston dual channel ValueRam should be around $20-25, considering i can get it here for about €22.

Don't even ask about my new comp. It worked at the repair shop but not here. I'm having that R. Bud Dwyer feeling.
