Angry Internet Service Provider Issue - Why am I paying so much for so little?

Long story on why I'm doing this; 1st Wireless Internet provider we had will good/nice connection and speed goes bankrupt...Then we switch to another provider-(Without any idea of what we were getting ourselfs into)-Provider: WildBlue, waited a long time just so they could come out & install it...Then find out its slow as hell...Advertised "High-Speed", but could not back that up.
Paying 40-something a mouth for the slow piece of junk- WORST PART IS: Signed a 2 (BLEEP) year contract with em.
Went to the WildBlue website to try to figure out why the slow speed- Optimizing the web browzer to improve speed is obviosly a lie(which is why I did not do it).
I look on the forum of the website, under the experience- I find lots of posts adressing a hell lot of issues- turns out there a lot (maybe over half of its customers) that are complaining about the speed.

So I then thought: I should just switch services...AGAIN.

I look up informantion about a provider I Thought would be better...I look at the customer reviews...
Seems that the reliablility is mixed.
Shockingly, a number of the reviews were about the speed.
One reviews was about paying for 40Mbps download speed, but only getting a download speed of 15Mbps - Advertised at 40Mbps.
    ______________________________________________________________________________
So- Why the hell should anyone pay lots of money only not to get what they paid for?

Its probably because the internet companies are screwing people on false advertising and lousy quality...Then again, when has that never happened?

I don't know what I'm gonna do now....There goes online gaming.

I feel your pain. Should be getting ADSL 2+ but instead my max speed is 250 kbp/s. It also fucks up and drops out daily. Another company offers the same shit for a quarter of the price but I'm stuck with the crappy one because of the contract.

Suddenly, in last few days, the pictures started to show up rather small on here. Here is what i mean:

So now all pics are 300 pix ish, before they covered whole right white space, being around 800 pix. Anyone knows how to fix that? I am on laptop and use FF.

Seems like Corsair doesn't make triple channel lo pro vengeance DIMM's. Probably going to be dominators then. I've been considering a SSD as well, but with the proliferation of SATA600 drives, I might wait until I do a new build to buy one, as my mobo only has SATA300 jacks.

I'm having a problem with my laptop. I was playing a game and had to move the laptop, and I dropped it. Now when ever I try to play the game again, during the loading screen my laptop just turns off. Could the hard drive be damaged? I'm gonna run scan disk and I'll see what that says.

http://translation.babylon.com/ probably this, it got on my other PC a year or so ago because I Dl a program and it had check boxes already completed, in my haste I did not see them. I hate when sites do that. Just goto your control panel and uninstall.

Say that again? Do you mean numbers like a serial number of your CPU?

    http://www.intel.com/support/process.../CS-028738.htm

    I mean this.

It says that i can only see that nr. when opening case, remove the fan and heatsink ect. thats a lot of work. So i was wondering maybe there is another way.
I have tried programs like everest and CPU-Z but no luck.

Why i am asking is that i found this old intel motherboard and i want to know can i use my old P4 CPU on that.

So i googled and found a list of cpus compatible with that board but i dont know exactly what P4 i have.

Just checked SIW on an Intel CPU and it didn't provide the info either.

    Ah, joy of computer building.

Some VGA require additional power connector. Check all the cables, try a different video card.
