Did you try turning it off and on again?
Did you try turning it off and on again?
Anyone else have the problem, that when WoT add pops up in youtube it messes up the video?
Seems to be a common problem.
It appears as though Google has decided to ratchet up its intrusiveness over the weekend and text entered into search fields are now not only being suggested but also automatically completed in the text field.
So whenever I typed “mp.net”, I always ended up being autocompleted to some province in India.
Got tired of this and below is what worked best for me (altered Homepage url and toolbar buttons for search via Google).
In short:
How to turn off Google Autocomplete (Instant) from searches:
1) Add “webhp?complete=0” (without quotation marks) to the url.
For example: www.google.com becomes www.google.com/webhp?complete=0
Click the image to see a larger version:
![]()
Two other ways to beat Google autocomplete:
1. Use Google advance search (no autocomplete there).
2. Or better still use http://Duckduckgo.com, works like Google used to.
I am looking for a solution to deal with an annoying issue I have with google.
It has been a few weeks now, and don't know why it happened, but when I use google I have it in the hebrew configuration (hebrew alphabet, written from right to left).
Each and every time I use the search field (next to the url) the result are presented in hebrew, and if I type "google.com" I also have it the hebrew way. To have it the french way I have to remove the ".com" with ".fr".
To deal with it I registered with my google account, to set french as the default language, but it doesn't change anything. It is as if hebrew was the default language anyway (as if the computer was un Israel for instance). The same thing happens on Safari and Firefox (latest versions for both).
So, if anybody has a solution... I would be much obliged.
*oh and I am using a Mac, if it can help.*
I'd be interested to see the response on this. I have a MAC and the same problems with Auto-Translate.
Anyone else having trouble with flash crashing on firefox? I've updated both, still getting the crash periodically.
Hate to say it Digs, but FF is pretty naff these days. Turn off all your add-ons and see if it still does it.
Flash 11.3 seems to be very buggy.
