For that price you can put together a pc that would blow you and give you a beer after.

    No doubt.

I could build a similar system using skulltrail or wait for skulltrail 2 for Nehalem.

Well I bought a (second hand) laptop today, it's about 3 years old. I decided to try installing Windows 7 on it, but I'm going to have to remove it. Bloody Intel refuses to provide Vista/Windows 7 drivers for their 82852/82855 range of video cards. The XP drivers will install, but they crash and burn every few minutes.

Have you tried disabling the Aero theme yet? I've read where a lot of people have gotten the driver to work under Vista after they disabled Aero.

    Hey guys,

Bit of a problem- I accidentally reset the settings in my Bios to default, and unfortunately, it now boots to the Intel Boot Agent screen with the Mac Address and such. How do I disable this? I went into my bios, pushed the Other Boot Device to the very bottom of the order, disabled it, and turned off Onboard LAN boot ROM, and it still manages to boot the Intel Agent and Mac address.

I could have sworn there was some key you pressed to get to the boot agent outside of the BIOS at boot, but I'm not sure what it is. I believe this has something to do with turning off the PXE boot or something like that.

    Any ideas?

I gave up and went back to XP Pro. The laptop was just a little too underspecced to be happy with Windows 7/Vista, and the lack of drivers was a killer.

I was going to write it, but is a bit long after all, and it's also easier with the images there. Oh and you are very welcome!
