OK, Im having problems watching Netflix movies on my XBOX now. I keep getting "secure HDCP link not found". I have sound but no video. I have searched a little and I found some places that say I need to check my HDMI cable to make sure it is plugged in correctly, or buy a new one. Then I found this.....

WTF does this **** mean and what do I need to do to watch some damn movies?

Derp derp derp, a display that supports HDCP. If it does, something's wrong with your HDMI cable or that particular HDMI port. Have you tried using another cable/using another HDMI port(if your display has more than one) Updating your 360's firmware 'might' work as well(failure to complete handshake between this particular display and the 360)

It updates on a regular basis. The most recent one was yesterday.

Anyway, I tried a different HDMI cable that I borrowed from someone and it worked. But I dont really know the difference between mine and the one I borrowed. Mine still works fine for everything else.

If you use Gmail, Facebook, Firefox, Thunderbird, then you may want to read through this article on some internet tracking methods. For instance, I discovered that Firefox and Thunderbird use geolocating cookies and how to disable them.

Man I am starting to get frustrated. I may try the transplant later hopefully the mobo will accept the PSU, it is an older model of the current one that I am using. It is the 680i SLI. I will try in a bit when I cool down. Sorry for taking up this thread guys.
I've had similar issues with my build, unfortunately it took me a while to get everything running perfectly. What I did, was to buy a completely different brand of PSU. Another thing to consider is when you're running 850W there might be an issues with your electrical wiring in your house.

P.S. Soon we gonna require a portable nuclear reactors for our systems.

I don't think I can really believe bad wiring in this place as it is less than a decade old. I am going to get a new PSU though, but since I wanted to buy a new system I also bought a new mobo, additional RAM to what I already have, and a new CPU. I am starting to get weird new issues with the display driver constantly stop responding. Not during high load game play though, but while using lower power programs. And only about 40% of the time it will recover from the black screen, otherwise I have to reset with reset button. So, with a problem like that, I think I am definitely going to assume it is a PSU problem, and the PSU is probably working at 60% capacity. (Going off guessing) I think next PSU will be a 750watt or so.

One thing that I might suggest, see what people are using for PSU with your model of mobo. Look around support forums and such. Best of luck.

Assuming your system is running SATA 3gbits/II and no options for 6gbits/III.

OCZ, Intel, Crucial, Corsair and Mushkin. No real order but OCZ or Intel would be the main 2 for me. It depends on what you want to spend as well (that will dictate how much space you get, $ per gig for SSD's is still high) and Corsair has some of the cheaper ones among the group. OCZ probably has the most variety and seems to be very popular.

I run an Intel X-25M 80 gig as a boot drive, similar to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820167031

Firmware updates for whatever SSD tend to push them more towards their marked performance.

does Intel still hold the speed record for SSDs? i'm looking for read speeds over storage space.

Crucial have some of the highest read speeds these days. Intel, OCZ and a few others are no slouches though, quoted and actual speeds are usually pretty different, not factoring in software updates and the system it is hooked into.

Intel suffers some because of their controllers, Sandforce provides a number of controllers to the manufacturers I mentioned and their stuff is good.

What are you looking to do with it?

Got a yellow hue on the monitor. Hue settings on video card make no difference. Neither do any on the monitor.

Monitors brand name appears white when it is turned on, but desktop has yellow hue. Seems to me like the VGA took it off the chin, but want to confirm.

EDIT: Nevermind. The cable wasn't properly in place. God damn women.

Cable fault. Most likely anyway. See if any of the pins are bent / otherwise fucticated.
