I have little trouble with Firefox and windows XP SP3. When I updated firefox last time it ceased to work. It does not connect to net in any way. First thing I checked was properties for connections (both auto and manual settings), fire walls (not them) and then I un and re installed damn thing. Exploder works fine on Win and all works fine on linux. Any suggestions? Do I have to reinstall damn windows or do you guys know easier alternative?

I'd clear any instance of Firefox out of the registry and check to see if any old FF files are left on the C: drive after an uninstall. Delete the Mozilla folder in C:\Documents and Settings\youruser\Local Settings\Application Data.

I'm running SP3 and FF 3.03 with no issue.

If he is doing the later, that will cause the machine to think it has shutdown ungracefully and do a chkdsk. Shutting down the computer in this way CAN lead to data corruption.
This also happens when certain USB drives or external drives are plugged into the USB port when the PC is turned on. I have a POS flash drive that does it all the time if it is plugged into a PC or laptop when I turn it on.

Anyone know of a place to buy a single DVI-to-composite video cable/adapter?

Looking for something like that shown in the lower left corner, above, but the only ones I can find are bundled with new video cards.

And will the Apple TV thing work on my PC (not an Apple) if it turns out that's my only option?

Edit: Or a "HDTV-out"-to-composite video adapter if they're more common? My video card has that port as well.

    >>> DVI to Composite converter <<<

    >>> DVI to Component Video Cable, 10 ft <<<

Thanks for the effort, though, Name. This search has been unexpectedly tough.

I've got a bit of a problem with my family's computer back home. Essentially, on startup, the pc goes to a screen that says intel, system specs, etc and at the bottom it says hit F2 to get to the BIOS setup and F12 for LAN startup on boot. It stays there indeffinitely until I hit F2 to go into BIOS setup and then I need to hit esc and quit setup to get to the XP load screen. Is there as setting in the BIOS setup that would make automatically boot up windows without me having to hit f2 and esc out of BIOS setup? The only solution I've seem to have come by on google is flashing BIOS or clearing the CMOS and I'd rather not do that if I don't have to since I've never done it.

Thats essentially the problem with the flash/clearing CMOS solution:
