Lightcav, what are the first few photographs supposed to be, 1945-46 occupation forces? Which unit?
Because overall there's a lot of stuff just not right for 1944 ETO, if that's what you are trying to portray.

As I said before, the M41+haversack shots are good.

Very well done, and nice pics!

The only thing that caught my eye as questionable, is in the first photo: The 3 pocket grenade carrier. To the best of my knowledge, those were introduced very late in the war as a replacement for the 2-pocket system. I have one myself, dated 1945. I'm not sure exactly when they were introduced, but from what I've read, and heard from others, only a very few GIs would have recieved them before the war ended. Never seen an M36 mussette bag cross-strapped like that either, kind of neat though the way you managed it.

The musette bag isn't "cross strapped" it just looks like that those straps are from the SMG ammo pouch and the map case. The Musette bag is attached to the M36 suspenders. As for the grenade pouch I guess my impression is of one of the "very few" that received them.

Still, what are you trying to portray! You simply cannot build a correct impression without picking a specific unit.
