    I believe that you're asking about pcu level 5 softshells.
    Google for "pcu" and "protective combat uniform", also you may try to search for "ecwcs iii", just for additional info. Both this forum and the Internet are loaded with every info about them. I suppose you visit militarymorons site for great write-up's and photos of the earlier version of this jacket.

    I use it for hiking/backpacking and for general " round the town" use. It's really great for all these purposes.
    Oh, and it looks surprisingly "stylish", at least my mother-in-law said so...
