A interesting pistol is that "Dracula 98", who is able to fire both single shot and automatic fire, like Stechickin, Berreta 93 or Glock 18.

Well, if i look closer to both guns, its very likely to be 2 diferent weapons, produced by the same factory. However, the one i present you is the one issued to police and gendarmery troops Here is couple gendarms from a special unit deployed in Kosovo ( pic is from couple years ago )

None of them. The unit "has been founded in january 2003, because of worldwidding of the terrorist phenomenon and the crisis at Dubrovka Theatre in Moscow in october 2003" (oficial press release) and now is under the direct command of the Ministry of Interior. Although at that time Romania had already three law enforcement special units: SIAS (Police), Brigada "Vlad Tepes" (Gendarmerie) and Brigada Antiterorista (SRI - Romanian Intelligence Service), authorities have decided to set up another unit with pretty much the same missions.

    Hi DID,
For now, only the special forces have about 500 G-36. Right now on the site of Armaments Department is an auction for 4500 pieces assault rifles 5,56mm.
Let's wait and see who will win.

Romania bought 8 systems with 34 launchers and 213 missiles in 2005. They where Hawk PIP III systems. I don't know the exact type of missiles. But they are not operational because Romania failed to agree with Raytheon to refurbish and modernize them to Hawk XXI.
