She is a famous heroine in my country. She was send to Manchuria in 1932 to organise underground resistance against the Japanese occupation. She was caputured after injured in a battle with the Kwan Tong Kun and the Manchurian National Army. She was tortured to death in a local prison in 1936.Zhao Yi Man, Manchurian Resistance Army
Know nothing about this woman officer. Please note that this photo was shot in the winter of 1940, probablly in the Soviet Seberia. These officers were member of the Instructors Bridage of the Resistance Army. Many of them received military and ideology training in the Russian Red Army. Actually, before 1937 when China formally declared war against Japan, the Manchurian Reisistance Army had nearly been destroyed by the Kwan Tong Jun from the region, due to serious problems in the Army's logistic aspect. Part of the Army retreated to Russia and stayed there till 1945.Xue Wen (front row, third from left), Manchurian Resistance Army
PS: front row, fifth from left was Kim Il Chon, PM of the DPRK in the Korean War. Many people still believe he was actually a Korean Chinese born in Manchuria.
