It looks just like my issued Safariland vest. The style is the basic vest that 90% of the cops in the US use. The pocket in the front is for a trama or impact plate. I would hope that he would be using something a little more substancial than that. I use mine because it fits under my uniform. If given a choice I would go with something a little stronger and that covers more area.

not an airsave... take a closer look at the velcro and the plate pocket... the last post was more correct... it is simply one of the standard cop type class 3a vests by safariland, point blank, etc.... the pockt is is for the larger plate instead of the regular 5x8 size... nothing to "highspeed" here... very effective YES... lighter and more mobile than a SPEAR or interecepter.... the webbing looks like MOLLE 2 in desert... dont think it is SPEAR as spear has a padded shoulder strap.
