Minority isnt only about the ethnic aspect. You can be 6 2 foots
(i cant make the sign with my keyboard) , and blond and you can be a minority.
The most redundant thread ever. Next time you throw around a term you have no idea about, you better be getting lynched by a Black mob.
Interesting to note that "Racism" is a terminology that was hardly even spoken of before the 17th century.
I am not going to wade through 6 pages of inane comments. I do have a question though. Did anyone order the same thing that your friend did? I.E. chicken nuggets. If your friend ordered chicken nuggets and the guy behind him did too and the guy behind got his nuggets before your friend. Then yes I would say there was discrimination.
No, he didn't. Which, as I realize, makes the situation ambiguous.
IMHO, the suspicious part was after the others got their meal and once the order was called back, the item immediately came, which excludes the "there were none in stock, so a batch had to be cooked up, hence the wait" arguement.
The situation just seems too coincidental.
"Gets order, gets order, order ****-up, gets order, gets order, gets order, ****-up order gets corrected..."
Most fast food restaurants keep pre-cooked food under a heat lamp or on a food warmer. As I said, this basically sounds like you got piss poor service. I would be a different story if every white person that walked in got treated the exact same way. Also, was everyone's order being called back, was the person ringing you even paying attention to what was going on? Did they have an "attitude" with you? And I still say you call customer service and complain.
Well, we wouldn't know since white people tend to avoid that area like the plague (it's considered a "lock your doors" area, with good reason). I know how bad that sounds, but it is the truth.
And I wasn't really thinking where we were when I pulled in, until we were already inside (stupid me). Frankly, if I realized where we were, I would have kept on going. If that makes me sound paranoid or racist, so be it.
She seemed to be. As for the attitude part, everybody there seemed to be in a generally pissy mood. Also, was everyone's order being called back, was the person ringing you even paying attention to what was going on? Did they have an "attitude" with you?
Bygones are bygones. To us, rants are satisfying enough without having to go all PR. Hell, my original post seems already overboard and infantile. And I still say you call customer service and complain.
And there is no way in hell we are going back there anyways, even without the incident.
Even if we wanted to complain to costumer service, too much time has passed already for this incident.
I don't think it was racism. What shallow motherfuc%er would depress a race w/ chicken nuggets? (example) Just poor a$$ service from a ****wad with an attitude. I've had the same issues in urban and suburban areas. Your friend should have expressed his discontent with the service in the resturant at the exact moment. I bet you he would have gotten it his way then. Don't make a turd out of a fart. Burger King sucks anyway!
wat
I don't like BK either (and the windsurfer thread will likely keep me away from there), but this was at McDonalds
My mistake. Burger King still sucks. I just think that the whole situation was blown out of proportion.
I tend to find, the sh*tier the neighborhood, the worse the service, and that's in any area, be it predominately white, black, Hispanic, etc. As I said, earlier, you usually get what you pay for. Cheap food from minimum wage employees in a low income area usually (but not always) = bad service.
Which probably didn't help matters either. I can't stand going into a store, restaurant, etc. and the employees act like your bugging them because they actually have to do their jobs.
In the sense that only we, the "whites" have forged racial science to distinguish ourselves from "them others". Then yes we are racists. They're only asshats. Not that it is any better, but we tend to do things according to certain refinements that make us look by far more evil (morally).
