it takes a lot to justify murder. nobody can justify it in this case, that's for sure.

i've seen other members of our community defend Brandon the same way as i have, but none of us will justify his actions.

How do you feel about:

1. charged as an adult
2. charged with special circumstances being a "hate crime"
3. the possibility of capital punishment

I haven't really formed an opinion on these three items yet.

I'm really asking this question out of ignorance of the law over there, not to rant about it. Is it really possible that a 14 year old can be sentenced to death? I was convinced that it was impossible. Comes as a surprise. Must be rare though?

And why wouldnt they be shun from the "normal" world? It's only natural. Of course murder is a ridicioulous answer, but a man's angered reaction around homo****** activity is totally natural, althought today's society is trying to supress it with tolerance for gays. I have no problem with gays when they act like normal people, but when they start with their kinky-winky, it just repulses me. And btw, dont think that all gay men have big muscles or are lean, a lot of gays have disgusting figures, and have very degenerate mind.

I don't know how or why you got into your "kinky-winky" or gay physiques discussion. OK, some gay guys don't have the masculine or lean figures that you desire, but would you apply the same standard to straight guys? What do you propose we do with guys who have "disgusting" figures"?
Ohh, I'm sure only gays are capable of "degenerative minds", but straight guys are all natural and are not capable of degenerative behaviors.

You should stop believing every stereotype that the media and gay pride parades bombard us with. You would be surprised how many gay guys there are who don't fit your stereotypes.

BS! The parents may/may not be the most loving, most providing, most understanding, most involved parents in the world and that very may well be a contributing factor. But the shooter made a conscious decision, with malice aforethought, to: (1) get a gun (2) transport the gun to school (3) pull out the gun in the middle of class (4) pump two rounds into the victim's head for what he thought was an affront to his masculinity or status. He, and he alone, is responsible for everyone of those actions. The victim is responsible for his inappropriate behavior as well. However, as inappropriate his behavior was it did not warrant a death sentence.

While I agree with your point about ultimate responsibility, I'm not so sure if living with a father who on repeated occasions attacked your mother with deadly force during the course of disagreements (shooting on one alleged occasion, strangling nearly to death on another) is quite covered by "may not be the most loving, most providing, most understanding, most involved parents."

I think the upbringing should be a mitigation against charging the kid with a hate crime on top of the first-degree murder charge.

Agreed. Holding a 14 yr old up to the same standards as you have for an adult, in this situation, warrants a look at how the kid was brought up. I'm one of the last people to blame folks for others behavior, but there is more to this that needs to be considered.

this story is such a non-issue. This kind of kids' rough play happens all the time. You guys (especially macs) are overreacting. Why, just this morning i was standing in line at starbucks waiting to get my non-fat soy latte (wearing high heels, eyeliner, and my cutest blond wig of course) when this little fag*ot walks up and starts oggling my as* (which was clearly visible bc the hemline on my skirt was high) right in public. Needless to say i'm not down with fag*otry so i pulled out my 45 and shot him dead right there. Then, i grabbed the nearest keyboard and monitor i could find and proceeded to flog his dead little fag*ot body. I mean really, the nerve. He totally had it coming.

Funny thing was there was a cop in line in front of me. After i capped that little fag*ot i dropped my purse while i was beating him with the monitor (or was it the keyboard, can't remember lol) and the cop picked it up and handed it to me. As he was calling the morgue to come pick up the body he said, "nice a**." he totally understood it was justifiable "homocide" (lol!). Cool guy imo.

My point is i'm not going to cry over the spilled milk. Must have been a slow news day for this to even get reported. When silly little fag*ots don't have the decency to stick to their own kind, stuff like this is bound to happen. It really is. You guys just need to lighten up. Lol
