if your a true friend you will not buy her a .22 for concealed carry.....I would buy her something like a S&W airlite or airweight revolver, I personally carry the S&W 340 PD revolver....357/38special made of scandium(extremely light, 12oz) dont even feel it in my pocket....and loaded with speer dot 135gr +P 38....very easy to shoot and packs more of a punch than the .22
also revolvers are very reliable, the double action trigger is very nice for concealed carry...and scandium is a nice light material(dont really have to worry about rusting as well)

I got my girlfriend a Kel-Tec .32. Its plastic light weight and its POS at the range. However, it puts 7 .32 hydroshocks down range, weighs nothing and is easy to use. Its a good backup carry piece thats less the $300 bucks. I think i paid like $220 for mine. Please don't flame me for buying this gun. It was never designed to put alot of rounds through it but it will do what its designed for in a pinch.
After carrying for several years i found that the best weapon was the one between my ears and i try to rely on that over any thing in my pocket.
wait till you see what happens when you get some pocket lint in that keltec....I would never ever bet my life on a keltec...sorry, like I said for about $350 bucks you can have a reliable airlite or airweight revolver
Get your girl something she'll want to carry. If the glock/taurus is too heavy she'll leave it at home and not use it. Confidence and just presenting the weapon is going to make her much safer, and thats the goal.
Behave otherwise she'll use it on you![]()
Walther PP
It's got elegance. Hell James Bond even approves.
Practice makes perfect. If she is afraid of a large caliber, take her up in steps. My girlfriend shot my .45 for the first time, took one shot and put the weapon down. Second trip to the range, she became a little more accustomed to the weapon. Every time since then, she's been happy with the weapon and plans on carrying a .45 when she gets to where she wants to be. But she really digs my Walther, most girls do. It's a very easy weapon to shoot and fire, feels very sturdy and doesn't have much recoil.
If you are serious aboutcarrying, go for a 357 Magnum, you will only have to pull the trigger once!
The Alaskan fits in to small purses, packs a mean punch though.
