Platypus is a rare beast, rarer than rocking horse shit. I don't think I know anyone personally who has ever seen one in the wild.
Ok, here's a doozy--
Which is considered a "stranger" animal in Australia:
1. Echidna
2. Platypus
3. Paul Hogan

Well I was never a little girl, but as a little boy I remember being forced to spend play time under the roofed areas because I forgot a hat that day.
I've seen a **** tin of them, probably helps living on the Yarra (upstream of the city). If you want to see them, dusk is the time. Probably dawn as well I don't know, but stuff getting up that early to look at them. Not that they are impressive to see, just a little bump in the water. But back in the day while walking the dog it passed the time.
They're common in the Richmond River in my hick town too, there's even a platypus viewing area near the main bridge on the Bruxner Highway. Most of the time when you see them, they're just ripples in the water when they come up for air.
I thought Dig was taking the mickey with that comment, but he's a sandgroper and platypussies don't live in WA.![]()
Platypius, queerest of the queer animals
What are you ozzies going to do about it?
Fly up there on the backs of eagles and fill it in with plasterboard.
Are you still ****ing alive? Or did your car run out petrol when you tried to gas yourself in it?
Oh, pardon me I've had a long day.
It's a KILOMETER deep icdeberg, it's gonna run aground before it even gets close.
More beer.
Get out there on a boat and bring some back for the chilly bin.
