The beret thing is somehow a traditional thing I suppose as german WWII tankers were wearing berets as the only Wehrmacht troup.
But there are other examples:

Flak jackets are worn sometimes.
Yes, in our world, tanker's uniform and standard equipment is first of all is a Nomex overall and gloves, flak jacket and a helmet for protection inside hits and shrapnel.
This looks strange to me as well, can anyone enlighten this for us?

until recently Canadian tankers would often wear berets but safety issues i think spoiled all that so now it is crew helmets. we also have female crew members, been doing that since the early 90's
Yes, we German tankers never wear helmets. There exists a bolstered cap quite similar to the Russian one, but if at all, only gunners wear it.
The Girl in that video. She's not a real loader. There are several hints that she does not have much experience with tanks. Nimdod is right, her clean and healthy hands are one sign. My hands and my comrades hands were constantly bruised all over during such maneuvers. Than even the way she sits in the loader's hatch, exposing half of her upper body. Every real loader would receive a rebuke from his commander for doing so. Than the way she's scared of the firing gun, pushing herself against the opposite wall and covering her face like she's expecting the whole thing to blow up. There's no need to do that, a real loader begins the procedure of reloading the same moment the gunner fires the gun and wont waste his time cowering into some corner. Oh and last but not least: She loads slow as hell, you wonder whether she might fall asleep every moment. I wasn't very talented on the loader's position myself, but compared to her...
One final note: She has the rank of a Feldwebel (Sergeant). Normally loaders are always privates in the German army today. So the whole thing might be a promotion stuff.
Not a tanker, never wanted to be in any Army stuff. Navy for me, but my Brother-in-law was a loader in M60A3 & later a gunner in M1. I showed him the video and he laughed at her loading skills. Some of the choice comments were:
"Bulls**t f***ing slow as hell loader"
"Could not keep up in a fast engagement"
"I'd love to see her hump a track back in place"
etc., etc., etc.
So DavidDCM, I gotta agree with you.
Anyone notice when she loaded the first round I think it was, she did a clockwise 270 degree turn trying to lug that round from the rack into the breech instead of a 90 degree counter-clockwise turn like every other loader I've ever seen. Then she dusted her hands off like she didn't like getting them dirty.
Damn, no helmet. I bang my head everytime in the Leo1 and my god there are some painfull spots in there, even with helmet
nice to see 2a4 from greek army
thanks for share

So how do you avoid getting your head hurt by the hard interior of the tank?
In the few times I got to act as a loader or a commander, I hit my head all the time.
what's the reason behind not wearing the russian-like helmets? It's a tridiional thing or does not using a helmet somehow improves performence?
I noticed that too, but didnt want to say anything...Oh and last but not least: She loads slow as hell, you wonder whether she might fall asleep every moment. I wasn't very talented on the loader's position myself, but compared to her...
Thats a nice team ,
Leopard 2 and a Attac Helikopter. Did they communicated with a idently Communication System ???
At the momently situation, the German Gouverment must be checked, if they sent a hard system with " Power" . I hope we sent Leopard 2 A6M and a heavy fire Equipment ( PzH2000)......and german UHU Tiger !!!but it is elevation-time in germany. No new equipment for the rest of Gouverment-time..........
