Unless you were talking about the YPR-765 (AIFV) like the one in the picture, the same 25mm cannon, but as you can see not the same tourret.

Chile operates former Belgian AIFV-B's, not the Dutch YPR-765. Note for example the smoke grenade launchers that are mounted on the turret sides, not the hull front.

A number of comments / queries :

1. From the first set of pictures, you'd think the airforce is only based up north in the desert, although that's not the case. According to Google Earth, I've seen how the main airports are set up to handle both civilian and airforce traffic, with the latter at the other end of the runway. Where exactly are all the airbases?

2. What's the dorsal extension do on the F-16, from the end of the cockpit to the beginning of the tail? I've seen that other Airforce F-16's also have this feature.

3. That new ship of the Chilean navy, is that more of a supply ship, or? Isn't that a locally developed product or a license-built?

4. Where does the Chilean army do their training, and where are their bases?
