There is no way they are giving them to Iraq permanently, in fact I would be shocked if they even let Iraqi pilots operate them. Iraq has no pilots trained for the Su-25 beyond those that operated them before Saddam, and they likely haven't flown the plane in over a decade now. Plus the Su-25 is the only dedicated CAS aircraft in Iran's inventory, giving the planes up would leave a hole in their operational capabilities.

Iranian SU-25 are from the IRGC, as almost all the units actually involved in both the Syrian and Iraqi theater so I wonder if there is a precise choice to actually have a different level of involvement between the Iranian state structure and thosee forces directly depending by the Pasdarans and trought them to the Supreme Leader .

IRGC Ashoura fast boats exercising to deposit naval mines in Persian Gulf as a drill

    July 4, 2014 (Persian calendar 1393/4/13)

Russian specialist 'Constantine Sinkov' says Iran has purchased some EM and EM-52 China made naval mines in '90.
These naval mines sit on the bottom of the ocean (Maximum depth 110 meters) until it senses a target passing overhead and then launches a rocket to hit the target. EM-52 can make serious damages on Aircraft carriers and send them to the bottom.

Iranian fighter jet crashes, killing pilots

An Iranian military official has announced that one of its training-operational fighter jets has crashed, killing the pilot and co-pilot.

The crash took place on July 15, at 11:15 local time (GMT +4:30 hours) near Lake Bakhtegan in the country's southern Fars Province, Hossein Mohammmadi, a local air force commander said, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported.

The F-4 fighter jet belonged to the air force base at the southern city of Bandar Abbas, he said, adding that the crash occurred a few minutes after taking off from the Shiraz city air base.

Experts were sent to the incident location and currently are investigating the cause of the crash, Mohammmadi noted.

    Sad news.

I can't imagine Iran having any sort of air force in 20 years especially with the arms embargo. Iran needs to up its efforts in developing its own proper fixed wing fighter/attack/bomber aircraft.

It won't happen as long as sanctions remain, the money just isn't there because the government keeps giving billions to worthless Arab militias in Palestine to squander.

In regard to the crash it's reported that the pilots suffered a malfunction and instead of ejecting stayed to aim the plane away from the city.
    The two pilots:

Project Doran is two phases. In the first phase involves updated Iranian/Chinese avionics (planes with white antenna on spine have gone through this). Phase 2 involves installation of MFDs for both pilot/co-pilot, new Chinese radar capable of using PL-7 and PL-12 missiles, Chinese RWR, and and two Iranian flare/chaff dispensers. Doran Phantoms are also capable of air-launching the Noor and Qader missiles.

Rear Admiral Sayyari (دريادار سياري) the commander of Iran’s Navy said the Islamic Republic’s naval forces have once again managed to thwart a pirate attack on an Iranian oil tanker off the coasts of Yemen and Oman.
Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said the 30th fleet of Iran’s Navy -- comprising Alvand الوند destroyer and Bushehr بوشهر logistic vessel -- had recently engaged in clashes with the pirates and rescued the Iranian vessel off the coasts of Yemen and Oman.
According to Sayyari, the pirates attacked the oil tanker in nine boats equipped with heavy and semi-heavy weapons and attempted to hijack the ship, but Iranian naval forces rushed to the scene and chased off the assailants. The 30th fleet later berthed at the Omani port of Salalah following the incident.
Sayyari further stated that this was the fifth such rescue operation by the Iranian naval fleet since it was dispatched to the high seas earlier this year in line with the Islamic Republic’s policy to safeguard naval routes for its vessels.
The Navy’s 30th fleet has so far foiled three pirate attacks on Iranian oil tankers and a similar assault targeting an Indian vessel, added the Iranian commander.
In February, Sayyari said the country’s naval forces had successfully repelled over 150 pirate attacks on Iranian merchant vessels and oil tankers in the past four years.
