    I meant to introduce myself earlier, but I had lost track of this thread, mistaking it for a subsection. Anyway, I've been in the US Army just over 4 years now, did one 13 month deployment, I'm an artilleryman but you wouldn't know it because hardly any artillery work gets done in the Army these days. I had an account here in 2008 or 2009 but I forgot my user name and password so I made another one. My main interests are military history, especially WWII and the Cold War, I do Civil War re-enacting and I would like to get into WWII down the line. I am a big gun enthusiast and a few (I posted my collection in that thread). I'm not a SHTF nut but I do believe in being prepared, thus I have cases of MREs in my basement along with some extra tin foil I'm an open person, PM me anytime about anything, I'll answer.

    Edited to add: That is me in my avatar picture when I was in Iraq. If you've deployed you may recognize that I'm inside of a CHU. My passion for weapons extends to contemporary pieces such as RPG, PKM, AK, et cetera.

    Hi, I've lurked in this forum for a while. I personally think I need to lurk for a few more weeks to get "the lay of the land" so I won't offend or commit a snafu here.

    Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself.

    Wanted to be in the service ( air force) but the private sector pays better so yeah.
    Studied in Taiwan,China, Canada.
    Currently living in the Philippines but will probably transfer to Singapore in a few months. ( my job takes me places - banker )

    Hi been lurking around this site for a while now..
    Im 22 from New Zealand, have been studying for a BA in History and Sociology for the past couple of years but have decided to join the NZ Army so am in the recruitment process at the moment with a ship out in february hopefully. I've been around the military most of my life with my dad being in the RNZN for 29 years as a WO EWI (now retired from that) before contracting overseas for a while. Thanks for letting me join up hope to learn heaps!

    I'm from Florida, a College student looking into Military careers.

    Also, did MP.net crash lately? majority of threads are missing.

    Hello and I am an Air National Guardsman. I was active duty for a bit and now just a part timer. I have deployed to the AOR in 08 and 10'. I will be going back in 13'.

    Hello all: Former US Army (from long, long ago)...was ASA, spent some time with 1/48th Inf in Germany, then 3/63rd Armor; reenlisted for DINFOS and was attached to 101st & other units. In civilian life, was journalist and worked in finance. Now retired from work, semi-retired from society.
