This is so good. Seriously. I'm not even gonna bother posting a stupid picture.

Hello Ryan from China, enjoy your stay.

    That would be all.

Generally, I like to engage the Serbs and Kosovar Factions in Lively discussions, alternatively the Greek and Macedonian Posters will make for interesting threads.

Well, I guess I could give this a go as well:

Sewen (which is just a random word I made up), 22yrs old, married, 1 daughter. I've been serving in the infantry for 3 years, I worked in construction for a year before I joined.
Been deployed to Kosovo & A'stan.

Though I've joined mp.net some time ago, I appear to be better at lurking than I am at posting

    Y'all very interesting.

I joined this funky forum because it seemed more balanced than the wanna-be liberal intellectuals bashing of the Bush administration/U.S. that is prevalent in many other current affairs sites.

I started my life on a small peninsula in Asia that is still stuck in the Cold War era but destiny (more like my parents) took me all over the world and I ended up in California.

As a teenager, I admired Douglas MacArthur, not only for his brilliant military career but because of his inspiring prose..."Old soldiers never die, they just fade away." At one point, I even had a Gund bear that I named after him.
Now that I'm grown up, he's not my hero anymore but I still find military history interesting.

    I have 3 registered friends on MP.net (), I don't like raisins and I like to travel.

Default Long time lurker, first time poster.

    Hey all,
I've been reading mp.net for better than two years now, finally decided to man up and get an account.
I'm a newly promoted Master Corporal in the Canadian Forces. I'm a full time reservist, an armoured crewman by trade, but a storesman in practice.
I've served two tours in Afghanistan; Dec 2005 to July 2006 in a Force Protection capacity, and again from Sept 07 to Mar 08, as the armoured SSM's trunk monkey in a LAV III.
In real life I'm happily engaged, and enjoy not being in uniform.

    Cheers....

Female reader from the Netherlands since 2005, mainly the news items and photo's. Non military but appreciate what the military has done since 9/11 so active duty and vets: Thank you for your service. Haven't felt the need to post as some of the comments already worded what I wanted to say.
