Default As Many as 1 in 5 Canadians support the NDP

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion...election,_2008

The latest news is that the NDP is open to forming a coalition with the Liberal Party of Canada, in order to prevent the Conservatives from forming a government, if that scenario happens, then Canada could pull its troops out of Afghanistan, and the CF may see its funding levels cut by a significant amount, possibly to Cretchien levels.

Is it just me, or is there an open possibility that the NDP may actually get more votes than the Liberals, anybody here has any info as to the demographics of the NDP base?

Those polling data are from well known polling companies, so i think they are fairly accurate, a hypothetical coalition between the Liberals, NDP, and the Greens could get as much as 57% of the vote, meaning that despite having a Tory PM, almost 60% of Canadians lean somewhat to the left on a range of issues. And Regarding BC, I had always the impression that outside of the Vancouver metropolitan area, people are generally more centrist, sort of like the difference between the coast of Washington and interior cities like Spokane.

The NDP ran BC for years with no adverse effects. We turned out ok, right?

The leader of the NDP wanted to end the war and sit down with the Taliban and have talks over some Chai and Shisha.

Taliban Jack as he is called spent to much time on the pipe if you know what I mean.
