Rangers are in the phase of modernization since 2007..such replaced the Lee Enfield for the C7. Here a links who explain what modernization for the rangers (very interesting).

Not really, but they work on a C7 with CADPAT...and other stuff like that with CADPAT.

In 2015, the new deep water are supposed to be completed and operational, for 100 million dollars. Here some of the "Canadian Forces Base" around the north of Canada, used temporary for artic sovereignty...Some sources such CBC had declared since 2007 we have a SONAR who can detect and identified between iceberg and submarines...the Arctic Sovereignty will cost 800 to 900 million per years, but this is the price to protect and preserve our country strong and free.
