These are some photographs I took in 1999 showing the state of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard at the time. CG 5&6 had completed roughly 20 years service and were then allowed to rust away.
4 Point class cutters - each over 23 years old - were inducted from 1999 and these remain the most effective units in the Coast Guard. 6 new Austal 30m FPVs have been inducted since 2010 and are already experiencing severe serviceability issues. These other photos are press photos from 2009-2010 showing the Point class and the new FPVs and 2 former oil rig support vessels.
The last photograph is one of the Trinidad and Tobago Police force on exercise - it was posted by accident.

Prototyp with some few problems, 2 built (for french people, old article was write in "le canard enchaîné", satiric newspaper)
