Default Republic of Croatia, Coast Guard

This post is dedicated to a new branch of Croatian armed forces, founded in 2007. The process of forming is still underway and four military and civil branches are participating both with presonnel and equipment in it:

    -Croatian Navy
(6 ships-assigned to CG, Lora Naval Base)

    -Croatian Air Force
(4 helicopters and 4 aircraft assigned to CG, AFB Zemunik, AFB Divulje)

-Maritime Police (6 Maritime Police Stations)
(4 ships, 45 Patrol boats and speed crafts to form CG, 199 personell)

-Harbour Offices (8 Offices, 64 Branch offices, MRCC, RCSC)
(5 ships, 47 Patrol/SAR boats and speed crafts to form CG, 310 personnel)

In the beggining of 2008 Croatia declared it's Ecological and Fisheries Protection Zone in Adriatic. (Zone does not apply to EU members due to pressure from Brussels and due to fact Croatia is a membership candidate.)
This declaration has highlighted the need to modernize and improove naval equipment - which is underway.
Zone rules according to international laws apply to all non-EU countries.

I will post some pics od Navy ships assigned to Coast Guard for beggining...more will follow.

Yes they are praying. It was during the handover of the boats from the marine police (if not mistaken, could be the Navy) to the Coast Guards.

These photos, take me, is a rescue drill held in Rosario, Argentina on July 20 of 2008.

El CG-77 participo en la guerra de Las Malvinas en el rescate de un barco de la ARA por eso tenia las siguientes condecoraciones pintadas en el puente

The GC-77 participated in the Falklands War in the rescue of a boat that had the ARA by the following decorations painted on the bridge
